Story Submission Guidelines

Share your own mythical tales with our community. Follow these guidelines for submission.

What makes a good mythological story?

A good mythological story should:

  • Feature creatures from our catalog or authentic mythology
  • Respect the cultural origins of the creatures
  • Be engaging and well-written
  • Include elements of adventure, mystery, or wisdom
  • Be appropriate for all ages
  • Be original or properly attributed if based on existing tales

How long should my story be?

Stories can vary in length:

  • Short Tales: 500-1,000 words (quick reads, perfect for sharing)
  • Medium Stories: 1,000-3,000 words (detailed narratives)
  • Epic Tales: 3,000+ words (comprehensive legends)

Focus on quality over length. A well-told short story is better than a rambling epic.

Can I write stories about creatures not in the catalog?

Yes! We encourage stories about any authentic mythological creatures, even if they're not yet in our catalog. However, please:

  • Provide source information about the creature's origin
  • Respect the cultural context
  • Note if it's based on existing mythology or your creative interpretation

Stories about catalog creatures may be featured more prominently.
